GRAB and GO BAG
Even though I am now close enough to my folks
to drive back and forth from their home to mine,
it is sometimes better to stay with them.
One time I did not have what I needed with me to do this.
So, I came home and created a "GRAB AND GO BAG"
All of the information on emergency planning suggests everyone do this.
I found a large totebag in my collection (ok, I admit, totebags are my weakness),
and filled it with items that would get me through a few days away from home:
Clothes-- a few outfits I wouldn't miss in my everyday wardrobe
Medicines--fill one of those free medicine containers from a health fair with enough for a week
Fill a gallon size freezer bag with sample sizes of shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc.
I also put in a few things to do such as puzzle books, etc.
Now I keep my grab and go bag in a convenient place or just leave it in the van.
When I need to travel, I find I can put my Grab and Go Bag
into a large suitcase along with my clothes.
This is an easy way to pack!
