Just like having  a grab and go tote of travel essentials,
make a few grab and go totes of craft projects.
Keep the projects simple with few supplies
in case there isn't much room to work, such as in a
waiting room.

One option is to subscribe to a new kit
program through Stampin'UP! (www.mypaperpumkin.com)
A simple fun kit comes each month with everything
needed except the adhesive.
The kit comes in a fun red box that is easy
to Grab and Go!

Monday Make-Itz

Photo Thank You Cards

We received many lovely remembrances for dad's services.
Since many of the plants or flower arrangements were ordered from out of town,
the person ordering did not know what the end product would look like.
I took pictures of these to add to their thank you note,
so they could see what was ordered and sent.

This is very easy to do.
1. Take simple pictures of the flowers/plant.
2. Print out 4x6 copies.
3. Make or purchase simple blank cards.
4. Trim picture to fit front of card, adhere to card.
5. Stamp or write Thank You on inside of card.
(Many told me how much they appreciated knowing what their gift looked like!)

Above are samples of pictures I used on Photo Thank You cards.
Photo thank yous can be made for any gift occasion.

Monday Make-Itz

Let's make a memory.

Soon after we moved to Tennessee, my father's health began to decline.
August 14, 2012, he began his journey to regain some of his health and well being.
From August 14  he had three major surgeries and
was in some sort of medical facility until we brought him home January 14, 2013.
He knew he was home.
It brought great joy and comfort for my sister and I to make it like
Christmas for him. We were rewarded with many smiles.

We have had some warm days this January, and the day I knew dad
was ready to return to his Heavenly Home, I walked around his yard and
found a handful of daffodils almost in bloom in one of his gardens.
I picked and placed the flowers close to his bed.
When I received the call to return to say my goodbyes, I looked at the
vase and the daffodils were in  full bloom!
The flowers lasted through the services, which is incredible for daffodils.
My sister is now drying them for me to save with other memories of our dad.
Now, whenever I see a daffodil, I will smile and know that dad is near.
