Tuesday Tipz and Wednesday Websitz

Greetingz Crafterz,
I hope all had a meaningful Memorial Day weekend
along with a great kick off to the start of summer.
I had wonderful visits with Family and Friends in southern Illinois.

A loyal reader has shared Tuesday Tipz:

1. if an item found in a catalog is desired,
    look for it online first.
it might be on sale on the website but not in the catalog.

2. purchase basic supplies along with desired item
to reach minimum spent to receive free shipping
if that's the catalog promo. be sure to include
    the code when ordering.

3. get a cute notebook/pad that you really
like but has an advertistment on the cover for a business?
cover over that logo with your own art and
    make the notebook/pad your own!

Go to: Stampin' UP website , click on Technique Tuesday to learn three great ways to use
  embossing folders.

Take some time to craft, it soothes the soul!
Happy Craftin'!

Tuesday Tipz

Photo Tipz

Instead of 'posing' pictures of children, take pictures of them at play.
These will be more natural than saying 'cheese' or 'stickers'!
With digital technology, many pictures can be taken.
The superior quality pictures can be kept and
the inferior pictures can be deleted.

Let's make a Sticker!

Greetings crafters! I'm back from a week of spoiling the California branch of the family!
Thursday we toured the Mrs. Grossman's Sticker Factory in Petaluma, California.
Check out their Website for more information: www.mrsgrossmans.com

When we arrived we were 'greeted' by none other than the founder herself!
Mrs. Grossman was leaving the building as we were coming in--she  said
'How about this for a welcome!' She even had her dog Molly with her.
I call this a 'Forrest Gump' moment since she is now retired and only comes in about once
a month. Had we been 5 minutes later, we would have missed her.
Her son Jason is now CEO of the sticker and label companies.
We also met Jason!
Due to the recession and digital crafting, the main focus on the company
is now Wine Labels. We were not allowed to take pictures where wine labels were being
printed because of copyright infringements.

The factory is located next to a bird sanctuary.
Mrs. Grossman's was 'GREEN' years before other companies.
Every step of the process is reused or recycled.

There is a walking trail around the water.

This heart is what started the company. It is the signature sticker.
Through out the factory are examples of every sticker ever made.
Rolls and rolls of stickers waiting to be repackaged and shipped out.

An article on display about the company.

Doggies are always welcome at Mrs. Grossmans! This is Chip!

Daddy Matt and Layla are working on a sticker project after the tour.

Friday Freebeez

FREE COMIC BOOK DAY

May 4th is Free Comic Book Day
Visit freecomicbookday.com to find one near you.
(It was a childhood treat to save some change and purchase the latest Archie comic.
Wonder what has happened to Archie, Betty, Veronica and all the gang?)

Craftin' with Suz will be on vacation next week.
I am going to California to spoil and hug 3 year old Layla and 3 month old Chloe,
along with their parents. If all goes as planned, we will be touring the Mrs. Grossman's
Sticker Factory. Please check back soon, as I will be posting pictures of my big adventure.

HAPPY CRAFTIN'

2.In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
3.Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
