Altered Stickers

Like a sticker but it just isn't the right color?
Don't set it aside, alter it!
Dazzles are especially easy stickers to alter--just use permanent markers to recolor.
Some stickers are on white paper to be colored to match the project.
Sticker paper is also available to print your own on your computer!

Happy Craftin'!

Re-purpose Kit Supplies

The July Paper Pumpkin Kit was a cute cake topper/sign celebration decoration.
I didn't really need to decorate, so I set it aside
until I could decide how to re-purpose supplies.
I did need a two page birthday layout-so I found some
great background paper and used the kit supplies as embellishments.
Keep an open creative mind with your crafting supplies.

Original idea for Paper Pumpkin Kit

New use for kit embellishments.

Birthday pictures will be added to layout.

Home Canned Tomatoes

The resident agronomist/gardener/food preserver canned his first
jars of tomatoes from the new garden!
These will be yummy in chili and spaghetti recipes next winter.

If you would like to learn to preserve veggies and fruits from
your garden or farmer's market, check with your local
Extension Office for information. Many offices teach
classes on safe food preservation.
Another great resource is the Ball Blue Book.
This can be purchased at the big box stores and online.

Stamps!

Purchase and use FOAM and INEXPENSIVE stamp sets for short term projects.
These are not made to last for a long time.

Invest in higher quality stamp sets that will be used many times over.
With proper care and storage, this type of set will last for years.

Be sure to clean stamps after use and store away from extreme heat/cold and sun.
Extremes will dry out and break down the rubber image.

(When I was going through my sets, I found some from the early '90s that
were still usable. The rubber was pliable and the image stamped clear.)

Older stamp sets that are still usable.

Inexpensive sets with dried and cracked rubber image.

Monday Make Itz--- The Inchie Necklace

I have been trying to find a way to show off' my awesome granddaughters!
I discovered a way to print off their picture, attach it to glass and place it into
a silver or brass base.
I call it The Inchie Necklace since the picture is a Square Inch.
This can also be used for all kinds of  inch sized pictures or beautiful papers, not just family pictures.

The Inchie Necklace

Necklace 'charms' one on left is brass base, one on right is empty silver base.
