COOKIE KITS IN QUART JARS
The kids and I used to make quart jar cookie kits to
give as Teacher Gifts. Dry ingredients are layered into the jars,
add eggs and butter to make the cookies!
I decided to revisit this craft for small gifts this year.
I will be posting pictures in a future post.
For now, please go to Oraganized Christmas website for recipes:
It can be a challenge to find mason jars in stores this time of year,
but a few of the big box stores keep them in stock year round.
I plan to pick up a dozen jars during garden season next year.
Wide mouth jars work best, and are harder to find.
Most of the ingredients are on sale before the holidays.
Stock up before the gift jar making session.
Run the jars through the dishwasher before use.
Set aside a chunk of time and an area to make the jar kits.
The dry ingredients need to be measured to fit into the jars.
Tap down the flour and sugars to make more room in the jars.
Decorate jar lid and add a tag with baking instructions.
