Thursday Treatz

My sister surprised me by making her own brownie brittle--(very brittle and thin brownies.)
The only place I've ever seen it is at Sam's Club during the holidays.

Maybe she will share her secret recipe on her website: The Whimsey Project check here

  1. brownie brittle!

prepare your brownie recipe as usual.

spray two cookie sheets with sides (referred to as jelly roll pans) with vegetable spray.

divide the brownie batter between the two pans.

spread the batter to cover the pan.

bake one pan at a time for 12 to 15 minutes in a preheated 350 degree oven.

    cool completely after baking.

to remove brownie brittle from the pan, push on the bottom of one of the pan's corners. that should make the brittle pop up from the pan. use that released corner to begin to break the brittle into pieces. the pieces will be irregular in size and shape.

store in an air tight container to keep fresh.

if desired, add mix in to the batter before spreading in the pan. nuts, chocolate chips, m&ms, other candy or dried fruit are great additions to the brittle.
