Monday Make Itz

Hen and Chick Plants

Our church is having a plant sale this week.
The hen/chick plant thrived over the winter and made lots of babies.
I decided to make some planters to donate.

I covered peanut cans to use as planters.
I used vinyl, but contact paper or scrapbook paper would work.
I added potting soil and planted baby hen/chicks.
These are very easy plants to care for, so I'm hoping these will find happy homes!

Vinyl covered peanut cans.

Cans filled with potting soil and plants.

  1. Good idea! I've been thinking I would like to have a small planter of hen and chicks for the deck.
