This recipe is from the Feb. 2015 Good Housekeeping.

Tuesday Tipz

Children's Artwork can be so expressive and refreshing.
They are free to use their imagination to capture their world.

Use this artwork, or handwritten notes, as the focal point for
cards, scrapbook pages or other paper craft projects.
Copy and resize if necessary.

The art can be used in place of photos.

Monday Make Itz

Let's repurpose card and scrapbooking kits.
I love kits--everything you need is in one place along
with being a quick grab and go to take and make.
I watch the clearance 'rack' on the StampinUP website for deals.
I also keep a stash of kit 'parts' that I didn't use in other kits.
Winter holiday kits can be repurposed for late winter holidays while
spring kits can be used throughout the warmer months.

I purchased the Watercolor Winter cards kits to use for Valentine and birthday cards.
I also purchased many of  the Happy Hello kit for various cards, especially birthday.
I can make a pile of cards in one sitting.
I took all of the components out of the kit to separate the parts that would not work with
new card ideas such as Merry Christmas, etc.
I will save these for next year's Christmas projects.
I mix and matched the components that were left to craft the new cards.
The possibilities are endless!

Christmas Card kit components

Vellum embellishments. Use the negative space as a stencil. Daub or spray ink onto paper.

Add hearts to winter cards to make valentines. Put Valentine sentiment inside.

Project Life Scrapbook cards used on card bases, add Happy birthday diecuts. Quick and Easy!

Tuesday Tipz

Valentines Day is a month away!
Time to make gifts and cards for your loved ones.
Once again I read an article about how an actual card brings more joy than
a text or email. It's something one can hold to enjoy for years to come.
Never underestimate the power of a greeting, especially a hand made card.
