We recently returned from a family reunion
in Ohio. We were treated to delicious mid-west meals!

Niece Jennie shared her Scotcheroos dessert recipe.
Warning--these are addictive!
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups crispy rice cereal
1 1/2 cups choc. chips
1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips
1. Heat corn syrup and sugar in sauce pan (or microwave). Stir and heat just until blended.
2. Remove from heat, add Peanut butter
3. Sir in rice cereal
4. Press into 9x13 pan
5. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in microwave
6 Spread/pour melted chips on top of mixture.
tips--if don't have both types of chips on hand, just use what is available
--may need to be placed in refrigerator in warm weather
