HOW TO SHARPEN COLORING PENCILS
Perhaps it is my lefthandedness, but I have been using
hand held pencil sharpeners wrong until I recently
read a great tip:
Start with a good quality hand held sharpener.
Instead of holding the sharpener and turning the pencil,
HOLD the pencil and TURN the sharpener.
This gives more control in the sharpening process.
I find this way helps to control breakage, along
with keeping the blade from 'cutting' into the wood.
This is especially helpful with softer leaded pencils
such as Prismacolor as well as watercolor pencils.
