Tennessee had a somewhat rare weekend of snow and cold. It started on Friday with below freezing temps keeping us all inside for the weekend. To beat cabin fever, I worked on a few projects, continued to put the Holidays away, and wrapped more gifts. We are kind of doing Christmas in shifts this year, so I didn't have to have it all done in one day.
I made, and received some very nice Handcrafted gifts.
I knitted over 20 dish/washcloths--I stocked up on yarn so I can get
an earlier start for next year! (See an earlier post for instructions.)
This is a quick project to keep in the car to work
on long trips and in between errands.
I also found a neat new yarn called Red Heart Scrubby with
nubbies to make scrubbies. More info and a pattern to be posted soon.
Snow days are the best time to start planning next year's
handmade gifts. Look over your stash to see what is needed--
the supplies may be on the clearance table at your local craft stores.
