Thursday Treatz

This is an 'oldie but goodie' recipe
from my mom--one of my favs.
It is more like a fudge than
a brownie. This is a great recipe to
make ahead of the holidays--just be sure to
keep refrigerated.
The ingredients for this recipe should be
readily available and may be on sale!

No Bake Brownies

3 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups marshmallows
12 oz choc chips
1 cup condensed  milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

1. Melt choc chips, milk and vanilla. Reserve one cup for icing.
2. Mix crumbs, marshmallows, salt and nuts in remaining
choc. mixture. This will be a bit dry and may be hard to stir.
3. Spread and press cookie mixture into a non stick or buttered pan. Could use parchment paper to cover pan with enough left over  on the sides to lift out.
4. Spread icing over mixture in pan.

Refrigerate until time to serve.
Cut into small squares, this is very rich so
small portions are best.
Keep uneaten portion refrigerated.
