Monday Make Itz

Most of Tennessee has what is a called a balanced school year.
The students get two months off in the summer, along with breaks
through out the year--almost like a college schedule.

To celebrate the kids going back to school this week--
here is a quick and fun craft from the Dollar Tree Value Seekers Club.

Alphabet Pencil Jar

Alphabet Pencil Jar
The beginning of a new school year is a busy and exciting time! Create this adorable Alphabet Pencil Jar for your child's new teacher. Using one of Dollar Tree’s glass jars filled with puzzle-piece letters and freshly sharpened pencils, this gift will make for a cute and functional desk display.

Shop at Dollar Tree – Here's What You'll Need:

  • Glass Jar
  • Pack of Pencils
  • Alphabet Magnets
  • Ribbon or Twine

Easy Step-by-Step Directions:

  1. Gather your supplies and then remove the foam letter pieces from the puzzle outline (see images below).
  2. Place the pencils with the lead end facing down inside the glass jar.
  3. Fill in the area between the pencils and the glass with the individual foam letters. Pack them tightly, but with enough room to still be able to remove pencils.
  4. Secure decorative ribbon or twine to the rim of the jar with an encouraging message for the new school year and watch a teacher's face light up after receiving this adorable gift!
