Tuesday Tipz

(updatz on the M&M package delivery)

After four damaged package deliveries of various products,
it was time to let someone know how the packages
were being delivered.
After many phones calls to the store and to the delivery company,
we may have made some progress.
The replacement package of M&M's came
wrapped in a Styrofoam container with a cold pack.
It was gently left on the front porch. All good for now.

We all pay higher prices at stores if deliveries aren't
right the first time. All consumers end up paying more
to replace these products. The stores will just raise the
prices, and delivery companies will just charge more.

So take a minute to make that call,
or even just to fill out the survey.

Monday Make Itz

My goal was 5 beanies for each branch,
total of 25.
Excessive late summer heat and some health issues
kept me inside enjoying Hallmark Movies,
so I used this down time to double my goal.
I'm very proud to update that I made 50 beanies!!!!!!
We will soon deliver these to the Veterans Home
to these most deserving heros. I look forward
to sharing my handiwork with the Vets.

We needed more Army than any branch, so the pile grew to 20 Army hats.

Tuesday Tipz

Store it where you use it!

Try to store items that you use
most often where you use them,
even if it seems counter-intuitive
to how you were taught to organize.
-For example--extra set of sheets
where the beds are, not in a linen closet.
-If you have an extra drawer in the bathroom,
store clothes for showers.
-If you enjoy crafting while watching
TV, dedicate a basket, drawer or
cupboard close by for those supplies.
-Keep cooking utensils close to the stove,
not across the room.
-Have a dedicated area for card sending and bill paying
supplied with cards, pens, envelopes and stamps.

Saturdayz Sayinz

This was one of my Dad's favorite sayings.
He grew up during the depression, so nothing was wasted.
While not being wasteful is always a good idea,
this saying also became a rather comical comment
to situations during my childhood.

Needing a large jar of M&Ms for a club project,
I ordered one from Sam's Club.
Below is how the jar arrived via FedEx.
Now this jar was not shipped in a flimsy package,
it was double wrapped with foam along with
a cold pack to keep the "Melt In Your Mouth,
Not in Your Hands" candy from melting.
Someone had to work hard for this product to arrive
in this condition. What a sad waste of good candy.
I actually found the humor in what happened
and am happy to report a replacement is on its way.
Stay tuned.....
